Tile Saw Hood
The tile saw blade used for cutting marble slabs and tiles rotate at a high speed and get heated up very quickly due to friction. These blades, most of which are diamond coated, are very costly and to prevent them getting heated and loosing their sharpness, special pumps are provided with the saw cutting machines that spray water on both sides of the blade to keep it cool. This spray of water also helps in stopping dust formed while cutting tiles from spreading round the room. However, at such high speeds, the centrifugal force of the running tile scatters the water around. In order to prevent this from happening, a special hood is used to cover the saw while it is operating. This is known as a tile saw hood. These hoods are retractable and can be retracted when the blade needs to be changed or replaced.
