There are different types of saws used for different purposes. While materials like wood are soft and pliable, tiles made of ceramic and brittle and thick, hence special types of saws known as ceramic tile saws are used for cutting them. While ordinary circular saws can also cut tiles, they do not perform the task of cutting ceramic tiles in a proper way, hence wet ceramic tile saws are normally used. These saws can also be used to cut marble, granite along with other types of stone products. The blades of the ceramic tile saws contain diamond blades. Apart from that the machines using these blades have a special water dispersal system which sprays water on the blades, keeping them cool and permitting them to cut through the ceramic tiles smoothly and easily. These saws are portable and can be easily transported to the job site or set up on a table.
